The American Genealogy & Local History Program          GENEALOGY SHOPPING CART

The American Genealogy & Local History Program was established in 1985. Our goal then, as now, was to reprint rare, pre-1964 American family and local histories, as well as selected later books, and make them available again to the public. We are still firmly committed to our original goal: in the first fifteen years of the program we added more than 7,000 titles to our collection, and now have more than 14,000 books in print. And every day, we acquire additional books to reprint.

OBTAINING BOOKS TO REPRINT

Much of the material that we reprint comes from our own extensive collection of rare genealogies, local histories, and maps, and we are always working to acquire new titles through auctions, book dealers, and private collections.

YOUR REQUESTS & SUGGESTIONS ARE WELCOME!

Your research needs are our top priority! Because of our extensive resources for obtaining original genealogies, we often can fill your requests for family and local histories that are not yet in our Catalogs. If you are searching for a title that isn't included in The Family History Catalog or The Source Catalog, Contact our Acquisitions Editor Include the Title, author and date of publication in your request. When we reprint the books you're interested in, you'll be notified of availability and price. If you are requesting that a recent book be reprinted, please include any information that you have about contacting the author, as well as copies of the front and back of the title page of the book, if available.
