This book gives records of the Elder Jacob Bowman family. He arrived from Germany on the "Mortonhouse", Aug. 17, 1729. Records indicate he lived in Adams County, PA., then VA where he was active in the early Church of the Brethren establishment. They met in homes and barns and other meeting houses.
