By William Moody Chase

This is a brief account of the family of Moody Chase of Shirley, Massachusetts. He was the son of Daniel and Sarah, born in Sutton, Mass. in September of 1721. He married Elizabath Hale in 1748. They had twelve children.

The first Chase family members to emigrate to America in 1630 were William and Mary with their son, William. His great grandfather was Aquilla Chase who settled in Newbury, Mass about 1640. There are notes on the Norman English history of some Chase members.
