The first Chase family members to emigrate to America in 1630 were William and his wife Mary with their eight year old son, William. This book gives a brief genealogy of the ancestors and descendants of William Chase. He applied for and became a freeman and took the oath in May, 1634. He died in May, 1659 in Yarmouth, Mass. His widow died in October of the same year.

There are notes on the English history of some Chase members. The original typescript may be faded and difficult to read in some areas.
