This is the genealogy of the John Cragin Family, (born 1634) of Scottish origin. When he was sixteen he was in the service of Charles who was defeated by Cromwell in the Battle of Dunbar. John was captured and in 1652 was exported as a prisoner of war with 270 other prisoners to Charleston, Massachusetts. Their labor was sold to pay expenses.
