LUM: Genealogy of the Lum family 1927
By Edward H. Lum
This book contains the Genealogy of the Lum family.
From the Preface: During the last twenty years, in the midst of a busy life, I have been gathering together genealogical items of the Lum family, and in order that these records might be preserved, I have decided to publish a limited number of copies of the records. My main work has been to dig out the early relationships, and I think I have made some discoveries that might be lost forever, if not put in shape for preservation.
While the publication is dated in the year 1927, the records of some branches of the family are not carried down to date, but near enough to be of value to all who bear the name of Lum, and to those closely allied to that name. I have endeavored to trace the marriages of Lum girls, and in some cases have carried down their families to one or more generations. My special work has been to trace the descendants of John Lum, my own immigrant ancestor, but I have also collected considerable data of the Maryland family descended from another early immigrant. I have also given the meager records of several immigrants to this country who came over from Yorkshire, England in latter years.
