MALTBY - MOREHOUSE Family: a list of pedigrees with genealogical notes arranged for the convenience of the children of George Ellsworth Maltby and Georgia Lord (Morehouse) Maltby, by their mother, Sarah Bogart Maltby.

From Part 1 : This is undoubtedly the Maltby family of Yorkshire to which William Maltby the emigrant ancestor belonged. Savage, in his Genealogical Dictionary, mentions but two persons of the name of Maltby: John and William. That there was another Maltby, however, is proved by an old deed, recorded in Branford, Connecticut, April 16, 1673, and which is signed by a Robert Maltby as one of the three witnesses.
