S. Herbert Mapes

This book gives an account of the Mapes Family history and genealogy, with biographical sketches of various family members, from the earliest records in England to the earliest settlements in Virginia, the American Revolution, and more. Walter Mapes was a distinguished member of the family and a descendant of the founder of Goodrich Castle, being born on the border of Wales in 1138.
