MAULL: John Maull (1714-1753) of Lewes, Delaware: a genealogy of his descendants in all branches 1941

This book meticulously traces the Maull family lineage from John Maull of Lewes, Delaware who lived from 1714-1753. He married Mary Field October 12, 1736. He acquired two lots of land in Lewes which he held until his death when they passed to his children. Provided are eight generations of descendants. a genealogy of his descendants in all branches. A separate history is given for each married member of the family. John was a pilot (ship) when England and France were at ar with eachother and privateers were raiding English commerce off the Delaware Capes. Pilots were found to guide enemy as well as friendly ships. He joined with other pilots to petition for relief from the burdensome interference with their business as it pertained to ships on the river, safety and permits. He was active and loyal in this situation and therefore commissioned to command intelligence. He died young at aged 38.
