This booklet is extracted from Genealogical notes of Barnstable Families from a reprint of the Amos Otis Papers, originally published in The Barnstable Patriot.  This is the history and genealogy of the Captain John Gorham family, who's parents settled early in Massachusetts. He was brought up in the Puritan faith. In 1643, at the age of twenty-two, he married Desire Howland who was one of the first born at Plymouth, also a Puritan.
