The Free Will Baptist Church of Hamburg was established in 1827 and initially organized by Brother Nathaniel Bristol, with records dating back to 1834. The church experienced a division into two branches in 1835, which later rejoined in 1840. In 1845, the property was sold, and a new church was constructed on Lake Street, eventually becoming the Westminster Presbyterian Church in 1888, later renamed Hamburg Presbyterian Church, with historical records documenting its membership and activities from 1827 to 1886.
