A short booklet, Extracted from Early Friends Families of Upper Bucks, a collection of genealogical and historical information pertaining to the first settlers of the upper part of Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Separate chapters are assigned to each family. Provided is an account of the life and the lineage of Peter Lester, pioneer and ancestor of the family, who came to Pennsylvania about 1682 from Leicestershire, England.  He was a member of the Society of Friends and declared his intent to marry at Chester Monthly Meeting with Mary Duncoff (Duncalf),1685. After the death of his wife Mary, he married at Abington Friends Meeting in 1740, Sara Scott. He held several hundred acres of land in the Richland, Penna. area.
