BOYCE: Ira John Boyce and Pearl Mitchell Boyce, their Ancestors and Descendants (Softcover) 1996
By Jean Bradshaw Boyce
The surname Boyce is one of a large set of variants which also includes Boys, Boyse, Boice. It is believed the immigrant ancestor, Robert Boyce, came to America in 1718 with a shipload of Scotch-Irish. The focus of this book is on Ira John Boyce (1880-1961) and Pearl Mitchell Boyce (1881-1953), their lives and their ancestors and descendants. We're shown family charts. Ira grew up on a fruit farm in Utah, was a hard worker, and enjoyed being at the Salt Lake Temple. Pearl grew up singing and writing and was a part of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
