This book contains letters of Sarah Andrews, daughter of Amasa and Mary Andrews who was born in Pontiac, Michigan 1835, written to her younger brother James A. Andrews who was born in Commerce, Michigan 1845. The letters are merely of a sister writing to her brother who was serving in the Union army during the Civil War and tell of daily happenings, family life, growing community, and reflect the social and religious spirit of the period in Hudson, Wisconsin.
