Thomas Barns was an early resident of Hingham, Connecticut and ancestor of all the families who bear the surname in the area. There is little to no information on his early life but there is record that he received a land grant in 1637. This book contains history of the Barnes family, copies of wills, diaries, and newspaper excerpts.
