There is very little known about the childhood of Reuben Barrett, but it is believed that he was born in colonial Virginia around 1755 and when he was 20 years old he migrated to South Carolina and married Hannah Doughty. This book gives the descendants of Reuben Barrett and includes some history as well as various register reports and miscellaneous records.
