John Walker Baylor, oldest son of Walker Baylor, married Sophie Marie Weidner born in 1784, and together they had eight children. He served as assistant surgeon in the 7th U.S. Infantry, however there is little known about his early life. This book contains six chapters on the history of the Baylor family and includes a collection of records, journals, and letters as well as important family data.
