This book gives the genealogy and history of the Carpenter family from England, and some of their descendants and the various locations of residence in America. Samuel Carpenter settled in Penna, and died there in 1714 after serving in leadership positions in the Philadelphia area for many years. William Carpenter, of Massachusetts the first ancestor in the New England states, was born in 1576 in England.
