In this genealogy and ancestry of the Ferris family, we discover that the ancient family was from England and descended from the house of Feriers, Ferrerr, Ferreis, Ferris. Zechariah Ferris or Ferrers, son of Samuel of Reading England, came to America, to Charlestown, Massachusetts and later moved to Connecticut. In 1673 he married Sarah Blood. They had six children. He served in King Philips War in 1676. Typescript.
