An old Welsh motto on the coat of arms, " Let What God wills, be".. Orlando, Leander, and William Hughes came from Wales to Virginia about 1700, some of the earliest ancestors to America. This family history including Hughes, Dalton, Martin, Henderson, were all originally of Virginia, and show many kindred branches.
