The Johnstons of Salisbury, with a brief supplement concerning the Hancock, Strother, and Preston families. Also, a sketch on Dr. John Johnston and his descendants with Edward Harris. John Johnston was the third son of Captain Archibald , born July 1. 1762 at Salisbury. He married Mary Stoddard, of the prominent family, and emigrated to Kentucky.
