An 1891 publication on Captain Roger Jones of London and Virginia, with some of his antecedents and descendants. Roger Jones was born between 1625-35. His first wife was Dorothy Walker. Tradition has it that his family were Cavaliers and he had borne a captain's commission in the armies of King Charles II. He came to Viginia Colony in the company of Lord Culpepper in 1680 to take charge as governor. Notes on several related families as listed on the front title page.
