JORDAN MEMORIAL. Family records of the Rev. Robert Jordan and his descendants in America 1882
By Tristram Frost Jordan
The Jordan family in America trace their line to emigrant Reverend Robert Jordan, a priest of the church of England, who came to Maine in 1640. With little countenance as a representative of the church of England, he was imprisoned for certain actions. This led to him taking a different route, in business, marrying Sarah, daughter of John Winter, a merchant. He held a prominent position in regions of Maine. These are the family records of the Reverend Robert Jordan and his descendants in America to 1882.
