These are the descendants of Jonathan Kearsley, 1718-1782, and his wife Jane, 1720-1801, from Scotland. They settled in Carlisle, Penna., and died in Shippensburg, Penna. They had ten children. We see the will of Jonathan Kearsley, and of his widow Jane, an inventory of the estate, as well as a history of Cumberland County where they lived.
