This book was published to preserve a record for the Keating and Forbes family members. Filled with various family records, illustrations, photos, and historical reminiscences of C.A. Keating whose parents families were long identified with Nova Scotia. This is an interesting fact as it relates to the family history, in that before Captain John Keating was married, in 1755 French and Acadian farmers of Nova Scotia were forcibly removed by British ships and at least one shipload dumped on the North Carolina coast.
