This 1909 book contains a record of the Kendalls of Austrey, Twycross and Smithsby: a family history.  Very early records show that the Kendalls settled on the borders of three counties of Leicestershire, Warwickshire, and Derbyshire, England. And were also found in Westmorland as far back as 1243.  Some prominent Kendalls in England, include John, secretary to Richard lll, Supervisor of the King's Works in 1481. George Kendall was a noted Theologian. Edward was a writer, and other John Kendalls through the years held notable positions.
