This book contains records of descent from William Canfield of Northampton, Massachusetts, who lived from 1670-1707. William Canfield was born in England about 1670 and came to New York as a British soldier, being stationed at Fort Frederick during the King Williams War in 1695. After the war he went to Mass. He married a woman named Thankful. The name changed to Kentfield. Typescript.
