The King Family genealogy presents a record of Clement King of Marshfield, MA, 1668, and later Providence, RI, and his descendants. He first appears as a constable of Marshfield in 1668. These are the descendants of Clement and his wife, Elizabeth King. Other Kings were settlers in the early days of New England. In June, 1635, Thomas King came to America at the age of 21. He was called Elder Thomas King, his son was Deacon Thomas King, born in 1645 in Scituate.
