A history of the descendants of John Kirby of Middletown, Connecticut and of Joseph Kirby of Hartford, CT, and  of Richard Kirby of Sandwich, Massachusetts. Also provided are the genealogies of the families of Thomas Burgis of Guilford, William White of Dartmouth and Finlay MacLaren of Onondaga, New York as well as the English and Norman ancestry of John Drake of Windsor, CT. The name Kirby is probably of Danish origin and written as Kirkby. The family were among the ealiest to settle in America.
