This genealogy records the Kitchel family, beginning with John Kitchel (also spelled Kitchell) and Esther Peck. Esther Peck Kitchel and her husband John were descended from a long line of Revolutionary Patriots and Pilgrim fathers.  Through the line of Robert Kitchel. He was born in England in 1604, his wife was Margaret Sheaffe and they left England in 1639 with a company of Puritan refugees, led by Henry Whitfield. Robert Kitchel was a leader in the community and stands among the signatures of the 'Plantation Covenant'.
