This genealogy reference provides the history of the Kolb family, descendants of Dielman Kolb from Germany. Dielman Kolb was of Wolfsheim, in Baden, Germany, born in 1648. He died in 1712 at age 64 and is buried in Manheim, Germany. He married the daughter of Peter Schumacher, who came to Germantown, Penna in 1685. Related Kulp and Culp. 

Driven by religious persecution and persuaded by William Penn, these  families came to Pennsylvania, like many others from Holland, Germany, and Switzerland. Immigrants from there to PA were often Quakers or Mennonite and Amish.
