A brief history of John Valentine Kratz and a complete genealogical family register with some biographical sketches of some descendants. He was a native of Germany and belonged to the Mennonite religious principles for which reason he was driven by persecution from his home. He sailed to America, after a four month journey, he arrived in the ship 'Friendship' in 1727, at the age of twenty.
