Family of Hounsfield, New York and related families to 1941. George Lee (1791-1864) was born in Albany County, New York and later settled in Hounsfield, New York. He married Olive Baker in 1821, daughter of Nathan and Abigail Westcott. Descendants lived in New York and Illinois. The history of Hounsfield is interesting in itself, as it was part of the "Black River Tract" (300,000 acres) granted in the year 1802 to certain English land speculators, among whom was George Lee of London.
