  • 6500

By George Newton LeFevre, with Franklin D. LeFevre

This book gives an account of the LeFevre family, the genealogical record of Abraham LeFevre of 1632, a french Huguenot who was martyred with his wife and six of his children after the Revocation of the Edict of Nantes in 1685. At the age of sixteen Abraham's son, named Isaac, escaped death and was able to save his father's bible, which he had with him when he settled near Strasburg, Pennasylvania in 1712, and had with him until his death. The Lancaster County historical Society had possession of the bible.
