This 1882 book contains the genealogy of the Little family, showing their origin, family name, and eight generations of descendants in America. In addition are family members that graduated college, served in the military, London Parish recorsd, wills, and other non related Little families. The line of focus is on the descendants of George Little, who came from London, England to Newbury, Massachusetts in 1640. He married Alice Poore first, with whom he had five children. She died at the age of 62. He married secondly, widow Eleanor Barnard. George Little died between March 1693 and Nov 1694. This book contains short biographical sketches on some family members, personal letters and stories providing a vivid account of the Little family’s history. In the Little ancestry line we find Charles Little who became the leading partner in the firm of Little, Brown, & Co., Boston. Includes Little, Atkinson, Gerrish, Kimball, Knight, Noyes, Sawyer, Toppan (Tappan) and related families.
