By Walter Eliot Thwing

This 1902 book covers the descent of the Livermore family in America for ten generations. The earliest ancestor of the name, John Livermore, embarked at Ipswich, England, for New England, in the ship 'Francis', in April, 1634 at the age of 28. In the list of passengers his name was spelled John Lyuermore. He married Grace Sherman. He was admitted a freeman May 6, 1637, and on this list his name is spelled Leathermore.
