Published in 1853, Book of the Lockes: a genealogical and historical record of the descendants of William Locke of Woburn, with appendix containing a history of the Lockes in England, also of the family of John Locke, of Hampton, New Hampshire, and kindred families and individuals. Included is the will of William Locke, deed to his son, Ebenezer, The Lockes of England showing the origin of the name, coat of arms, charts, pedigrees, Samuel Locke, President of Harvard College, numerous illustrations and portraits, and more. Seen with a list of passenger names is William Locke, 22 Mar, 1634, to be embarked on the ship Planter, bound for New England. He settled at Woburn and married Judith Phippen. The Rev. Thomas Carter, the first minister of Woburn, was a passenger in the same vessel.  *Note, typescript is small.
