This publication provides the history of the Lunt family in America from 1634 to 1913. The name is of Scandinavian origin, being common in Denmark. The first Lunt in America was Henry Lunt who settled at Newbury, Massachusetts in 1634/5. He died in 1662. Included is the inventory of his estate, which was read of the Ipswich court the 30th of September, 1662.
