This publication provides an account of the Marshall family, along with the Haskell, Boutwell, Barrett, Wadsworth, White, Read, Maurice, Kingsbury, Holbrooke, Stevens, Carpenter, and allied families. The first generation in this book begins with John Marshall, of Boston, who emigrated from England to New England in 1635. He came to America in the 'Hopewell', in company with his brother Christopher. This John Marshall was descended from John of Southark, England, and he married Sarah in 1645.
