This book outlines the history and genealogy of the descendants of John Martin of Brunswick and Old Bristol, Maine. He owned land, and was married to Margaret. He appeared on the muster roll sworn at Boston on April 2, 1742, serving during the Indian Wars. Years later he was taken by a group of Abenaki Indians and carried to Canada and sold for a price. He is on record at that time as having a family of seven young children. He was released about a month later. Records show he bought and sold several lots of land. Selling off some per court order in lawsuits. His first son was William, born 1730.
