McNary Family Publishing Committee, Printed by McNary & Simpson Printers, Pittsburgh, PA

The first Reunion of the McNary family took place in Houston, PA, August 3, 1905, in response to a call put forth by the Family Committee. It was held at the United Presbyterian Church of Houston. Members of the Committee were from Canonsburg, PA and Washington, PA. At this reunion, committees were formed, the family history was discussed, their Scotch and Irish ancestry, and their settlement in America. James McNary, the father of this clan, was born in Scotland about 1711 and was a shoemaker by trade. He lived a short time in Ireland before coming to America.
