Genealogy of the Merrick-Mirick-Myrick Family of Massachusetts, from 1636-1902. William Merrick, the oldest of four brothers who reached Charlestown in the ship 'James' in the spring of 1636, was born in Wales in 1603. He was one of the original proprietors of Bridgewater, a farmer, a surveyor of Highays, and a constable. He had ten children by his wife Rebecca, who died in 1668 at Eastham.
