From the Preface: Nathaniel Merriman was born in England in 1613 and came to. Boston in 1632, served in the Pequot war of 1637, and arrived in New Haven about 1640. He resided there about thirty years then became one of the founders of Wallingford, where he died in 1694. Included are also the family reunion records of attendance, proceedings, history, letters, wills and estates along and allied papers.
