2nd Edition. Matthias Miller, his seventeen children, and eight generations of descendants. Jacob Miller (1697-1772) came from Germany to Philadelphia in 1732 on the ship 'Pink Johnson'. He married Catherine, was a farmer and tanner near Bernville, Berks County, Penna. Matthias Miller, their son, was born in 1743, he was named as executor of his father's will. He served in the PA militia during the Revolutionary War as a private. He sold his Penna farm in 1794 and moved to Virginia.
