Published in 1850, this book provides this historical and genealogical account of the ancient family of Maunsell-Mansell-Mansel. The crest and seal of John Maunsell, the coat of arms, marks of honor, distinguished persons and families, the motto origin. Philip Maunsell appears to be the ancestor of this truly ancient family, from whom have descended members of every degree in the church, state, army, navy, law, knights, and more. He is seen early with the records of William the Conqueror.
