Holman's Creek, named for Daniel Holman in 1736, is approximately eleven miles long. It is near the Rockingham / Shenandoah County line near the I-81 Shenandoah Caverns exit, and flows in an easterly direction. It provided life to many farms through which it flowed. Seven or more grist and flour mills depended upon it. Second printing 1985.
