This is an account of the Cortelyou history and genealogy, with a record of the ancestors of two Sisters, Helen Robina Cortelyou (born 1930) and Carol Van Zandt Coretlyou (born 1939).  Jaques Cortelyou, was the first of the family to come to America in 1652.  He came from the city of Utrecht in Holland.
