Edward Allen emigrated from London, England about 1690 and made his way to Nantucket, Massachusetts had prominent roles of leadership and trust in the town's government system. He married Ann Coleman and together they had ten children born in Nantucket who continued the Allen family name. This book contains history of the surname in the eastern and western world.
