Roger D'ivry, Lord of Beckley, is the "founder" of the Beckley name and the first person to bear the Beckley name was his son Robert Beckley born in 1205. The name came to America through the individual Richard Beckley, born in 1618, who emigrated to Wethersfield, Connecticut in 1639.
