There is very little known about the first immigrant Bennett other than the facts that he came from England prior to 1748 and settled in Western Maryland, where he raised at least three children who are known to be Moses, Titus, and Hyrum. This book focuses on the line of descendants that follows Hyrum and gives more familial context throughout.
